Houston Dynamo wrapped up their home campaign with a wild 4-2 loss to San Diego FC on Saturday night at Shell Energy Stadium. The match had everything, early goals, late drama, and a flurry of second-half action that saw the visitors snatch all three points.
Houston struck first in the 15th minute through Felipe Andrade, who finished off a slick move started by Júnior Urso, notching his fourth goal of the season. Despite holding a 1-0 lead at halftime, the second half turned chaotic. San Diego equalized from the spot in the 53rd minute, then took the lead in the 85th. Dynamo responded quickly with Sergio Santos scoring his first goal in orange just two minutes later to make it 2-2 but the joy was short-lived.
San Diego FC found the net twice more in the dying minutes, including a stoppage-time dagger from Amahl Pellegrino, sealing the 4-2 win and extending their unbeaten road streak. With the loss, Houston closes out their home slate and now heads to Kansas City for Decision Day, hoping to end the season on a high note.
