Ezequiel Ponce scored his 9th goal of the season as Houston Dynamo defeated St Louis City FC 3-2 away at City Park. It was a much-needed win for Houston Dynamo whose playoffs hopes have tanked following runs of poor result. A win that has revived their playoff hopes as they host LA Galaxy on match day 31 at the Shell Energy Stadium.
Ezequiel Ponce headed home Jack McGlynn freekick in the 20th minute. Houston kept the pressure button on in the 50th minute when St Louis City doubled Dynamo lead via own goal from Henry Kessler.
As the game hung in the balance at 2-2, Dwayne Holmes broke the tie with his first Houston Dynamo MLS goal in the 72 minutes, Houston held on to the 3 points.
