Scorers:

Houston Dynamo FC put on a solid display at home to claim a 2–0 victory over Minnesota United in this midweek MLS clash. Goals from P. Ortiz in first-half stoppage time and F. Andrade midway through the second half sealed all three points for the hosts.

The match started with both sides creating half-chances in a tightly contested first half. Just when it seemed the teams would go into the break level, Pable Ortiz broke the deadlock with a well-timed finish when he pounced on a loose ball to  give the Dynamo a critical lead and energizing the home crowd.

Minnesota United pushed forward in search of an equalizer in the second half, but struggled to break down Houston’s organized back line. Their efforts were undone in the 77th minute when F. Andrade doubled the lead for the Dynamo, slotting home from close range to put the result beyond doubt.

Houston’s defense remained composed in the closing stages, comfortably managing Minnesota’s late attempts to salvage something from the game.

Key Stats:

  • Final Score: Houston Dynamo 2, Minnesota United 0
  • Goals: Ortiz (45+1’), Andrade (77’)

Houston now looks to build on this win as they climb the Western Conference standings, while Minnesota will need to regroup after a disappointing performance on the road.
