Ezequiel Ponce scored his 10th goal of the season, but it was not enough as Houston dynamo drew 1-1 with LA Galaxy in a rescheduled fixture at the Shell Energy Stadium.

The draw reminded the fans who came out to support the team how horrible the home form has been this season.

Ben Olsen who has taken digs from the fan base online was without Jack McGlynn who is with the USMNT for international friendly against Korea Republic. Even LA Galaxy was without their Ghanian forward, Joseph Paintsil who is with the Black Stars of Ghana executing 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers

Houston had their first taste at goal when Ethan Bartlow played a through ball up the right side to defender Griffin Dorsey, who then crossed the ball to Ponce whose shot was saved by Galaxy goalkeeper, JT Marcinkowski.

Ondre Lingr ball set up Ponce to give Houston Dynamo the lead in the 35th minute. He pounced on the Czech Republic over the top ball, he controlled with his head which gave him a space, and he slotted it beyond Galaxy goalkeeper to score his 9th goal of the season.

The Dynamo led for more than an hour, but a late concession saw the points shared at home as their hope for a playoffs spot fade away just 5 games to the end of the regular season.

Houston are 10th in the western conference, just 2 points off the final playoff spot and they will be away to Colorado Rapids after the international break
