NYCFC UPSET PHILLY UNION WHILE INTER MIAMI ROUT FC CINCINNATI

New York City FC stunned Supporters’ Shield winners Philadelphia Union with a 1–0 win at Subaru Park to advancve to eastern conference championship game against Inter Miami. 

Alonso Martínez continues to be the clutch performer for NYCFC, having scored 10 game-winning goals this season. This result ended Philly’s dream of becoming the ninth team to win both the Shield and MLS Cup in the same season. Meanwhile Messi scored and provided hat-trick of assists as Inter Miami thrash FC Cincinnati 4-0 to reach their first conference finals. 

In the western conference, LAFC's quest for MLS Cup was halted by Vancouver Whitecaps with a 4-3 penalty win after a dramatic 2-2 draw. Son Heung-Min’s stoppage time freekick equalizer made the game a wild finish.
