Date: Wednesday,

May 14 Venue: Snapdragon Stadium, San Diego

Scorers:

San Diego FC continued their strong home form with a confident 2–0 win over the Colorado Rapids on Wednesday night, powered by goals from Connor McVey and Aron Dreyer.

The home side controlled much of the tempo early on and were rewarded in the 33rd minute when McVey rose highest to head home a pinpoint cross, giving San Diego the lead and igniting the home crowd.

Colorado attempted to respond after the break, but their attack lacked cohesion and penetration. San Diego took full advantage, doubling their lead in the 58th minute through Dreyer, who calmly finished off a well-worked team move to put the result firmly in their hands.

From that point, San Diego managed the match professionally, limiting Colorado’s chances and maintaining possession to see out the clean sheet.

Key Stats:

  • Final Score: San Diego FC 2, Colorado Rapids 0
  • Goals: McVey (33’), Dreyer (58’)
  • Clean Sheet: San Diego FC

This win boosts San Diego’s momentum as they continue their debut MLS campaign, while the Rapids are left searching for answers after another disappointing road performance.
