Real Salt Lake newly acquired Nigerian striker, Victor Olatunji scored on his debut for Real Salt Lake in their 1-3 home defeat to Minnesota United FC on MLS match day 30.
Olatunji who joined the MLS club in Real Salt Lake from Czech top side Sparta Prague in a $2.5 million transfer fee opened his MLS goal account in the 15th minute when he equalized for Real Salt Lake after an own goal from Brayan Vera gave Minnesota an early lead. But unfortunately, Real Salt Lake went ahead to lose at home, a third successive MLS defeat this season for Pablo Mastroni side.
Real Salt Lake 11th in the Western Conference playoff race, just a point behind Houston Dynamo who will host LA Galaxy on match day 31.
Victor Olatunji is under contract through June 2028 with options through the end of 2028 and all of 2029.
